Malala Yousafzai just opened a Library in Birmingham. She was looking healthy and confident on this occasion and she delivered a short but inspirational speech. She said in her words that "Books will defeat terrorism". She added, she was shot but her cause is alive and now she will work for the children not only of Pakistan but also around the world. She had worn a "Red" color dupatta and was looking very cool as before. She was so excited before starting her speech and finally she inspired the world again. The Library in Birmingham which Malala opened just today is a very big library and there will be millions of books available for the readers.

Malala Yousafzai has started going to school in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Just Yesterdayshe spent her first day in the school. She met the teachers and her new friends in the school in Birmingham. She was happy at that moment and had been reading her books with full concentration. Earlier, her father was also with her, when she was going to school. Here is the picture of that morning.

Malala Yousafzai who was shot in Swat last year on October 9, She is now well and getting better day by day. She has joined a school in Birmingham, UK, she is happy now a little and has started working again for getting the rights of Children's.

But before 9 Octuber, she was speaking openly against the militants Taliban in Swat region. Therefore, she was also in danger because of her openly talks to media. However, she never tried to protect herself or take extra security measures, and thus 9 October sparked the world when Malala was attacked while she was coming back from School to Home.

Before that attack, The New York Times (A US based news paper) had made a documentary on Malala's life in which you'll find her daily life routine in Swat Vally. She spoke a lot in that documentary and described her thoughts.

On 12th July, 2013, Malala remind the world that she is still alive & active. She again made the world sad by exploring some past memories. However, she made the world happy by showing her attitude and her passion. She remind the world that education is still important to her and will always be. Her speech at the UN Assembly was without doubts a remarkable speech in the history. She has been speaking at such large platforms for years, but this time the entire world was watching her. This was her 16th Birthday on 12th of the July, and therefore UN decided to celebrate this day as "Malala day". Malala was looking just fresh and her family was also present on this occasion.

Episode # 1: SATURDAY 3 JANUARY 2009 : I AM AFRAID

I had a terrible dream yesterday with military helicopters and the Taleban. I have had such dreams since the launch of the military operation in Swat. My mother made me breakfast and I went off to school. I was afraid going to school because the Taleban had issued an edict banning all girls from attending schools.

Only 11 students attended the class out of 27. The number decreased because of Taleban’s edict. My three friends have shifted to Peshawar, Lahore and Rawalpindi with their families after this edict.

On my way from school to home I heard a man saying ‘I will kill you’. I hastened my pace and after a while I looked back if the man was still coming behind me. But to my utter relief he was talking on his mobile and must have been threatening someone else over the phone.

Episode # 2: SUNDAY 4 JANUARY 2009 : I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL

Today is a holiday and I woke up late, around 10 am. I heard my father talking about another three bodies lying at Green Chowk (crossing). I felt bad on hearing this news. Before the launch of the military operation we all used to go to Marghazar, Fiza Ghat and Kanju for picnics on Sundays. But now the situation is such that we have not been out on picnic for over a year and a half.

We also used to go for a walk after dinner but now we are back home before sunset. Today I did some household chores, my homework and played with my brother. But my heart was beating fast – as I have to go to school tomorrow.

Episode # 3: MONDAY 5 JANUARY 2009 : DO NOT WEAR COLOURFUL DRESSES

I was getting ready for school and about to wear my uniform when I remembered that our principal had told us not to wear uniforms – and come to school wearing normal clothes instead. So I decided to wear my favourite pink dress. Other girls in school were also wearing colourful dresses and the school presented a homely look.

My friend came to me and said, ‘for God’s sake, answer me honestly, is our school going to be attacked by the Taleban?’ During the morning assembly we were told not to wear colourful clothes as the Taleban would object to it.

I came back from school and had tuition sessions after lunch. In the evening I switched on the TV and heard that curfew had been lifted from Shakardra after 15 days. I was happy to hear that because our English teacher lived in the area and she might be coming to school now.

Episode # 4: WEDNESDAY 7 JANUARY 2009 : NO FIRING OR FEAR

I have come to Bunair to spend Muharram (a Muslim holiday) on vacation. I adore Bunair because of its mountains and lush green fields. My Swat is also very beautiful but there is no peace. But in Bunair there is peace and tranquillity. Neither is there any firing nor any fear. We all are very happy.

Today we went to Pir Baba mausoleum and there were lots of people there. People are here to pray while we are here for an excursion. There are shops selling bangles, ear rings, lockets and other artificial jewellery. I thought of buying something but nothing impressed – my mother bought ear rings and bangles.

Episode # 5: FRIDAY 9 JANUARY 2009 : THE MAULANA GOES ON LEAVE?

Today at school I told my friends about my trip to Bunair. They said that they were sick and tired of hearing the Bunair story. We discussed the rumours about the death of Maulana Shah Dauran, who used to give speeches on FM radio. He was the one who announced the ban on girls attending school.

Some girls said that he was dead but others disagreed. The rumours of his death are circulating because he did not deliver a speech the night before on FM radio. One girl said that he had gone on leave.

Since there was no tuition on Friday, I played the whole afternoon. I switched on the TV in the evening and heard about the blasts in Lahore. I said to myself ‘why do these blasts keep happening in Pakistan?’

Episode # 6: WEDNESDAY 14 JANUARY 2009 : I MAY NOT GO TO SCHOOL AGAIN

I was in a bad mood while going to school because winter vacations are starting from tomorrow. The principal announced the vacations but did not mention the date the school was to reopen. This was the first time this has happened.

In the past the reopening date was always announced clearly. The principal did not inform us about the reason behind not announcing the school reopening, but my guess was that the Taleban had announced a ban on girls’ education from 15 January.

This time round, the girls were not too excited about vacations because they knew if the Taleban implemented their edict they would not be able to come to school again. Some girls were optimistic that the schools would reopen in February but others said that their parents had decided to shift from Swat and go to other cities for the sake of their education.

Since today was the last day of our school, we decided to play in the playground a bit longer. I am of the view that the school will one day reopen but while leaving I looked at the building as if I would not come here again.

Episode #7: THURSDAY JANUARY 15, 2009: NIGHT FILLED WITH ARTILLERY FIRE

The night was filled with the noise of artillery fire and I woke up three times. But since there was no school I got up later at 10 am. Afterwards, my friend came over and we discussed our homework.

Today is 15 January, the last day before the Taleban’s edict comes into effect, and my friend was discussing homework as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened.

Today, I also read the diary written for the BBC (in Urdu) and published in the newspaper. My mother liked my pen name ‘Gul Makai’ and said to my father ‘why not change her name to Gul Makai?’ I also like the name because my real name means ‘grief stricken’.

My father said that some days ago someone brought the printout of this diary saying how wonderful it was. My father said that he smiled but could not even say that it was written by his daughter. via : BBC Online

Malala Yousafzai! a winner of millions of hearts, who sacrifices herself for the world. Who was a young kid but talked like an experienced 40 years women, she never stopped her struggles, who at every stage of life spoke for children's rights.

She was born in the "Swat Valley" KPK province of Pakistan, she started going to school when she was 5 years. She was stopped from getting education when she was 9 years old in 2007. She thought to fight to get rights back for herself and other children around her. And since then, she never sit down for a moment. 

Finally she got her rights back, and then she again started strengthening herself for the future, and for the future of other children who wanted to get back to school. She spoke on different platforms, she spoke to world newspapers, TV channels, and local media outlets. 

And then 9th October 2012 came, she was attacked in Swat when she was coming back from school, and thus, the incident sparked the entire world in minutes. From a president of a country to a common person, everyone was praying for her health and fast recover, and she again won the life. She got back her life. She is hurt a lot, but somehow she is back. 

When she came out from coma, she first asked for her books, and when she didn't find her books, she started weeping and said that where are my books. 

Few days later, when she got health back, she started going to school again. And she gave message to the world that Malala will now fight for the entire world and women's rights.

Malala Yousafzai Biography

Malala Yousafzai was born in Swat valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan in July 1997. She is a 14 years old girl and is studying in 8th class in school. Malala was born in Mingora the capital of Swat valley. Her school is situated in Swat and called "Khushal Public School". She was entered to school in the age of five. She has been a very good student at her school and never failed in exams. Her father Ziauddin is also the principle of a school in Swat.

Malala Struggles for Children Rights

When Taliban started banning girls from going schools in Swat in 2009, she was among the girls who were banned from schools and thus she's educational career  affected at the time. She didn't go to school for many days when military operation was also about to start in the Swat valley in 2009. At that time, she wrote a diary named "Gul Makai" for the British Broad Casting (BBC) website. She wrote her 15 episodes diary with very interesting end. 

She mentioned all the situation was going on in Swat valley in her diary. Later on, when peace was restored in Swat region, she appeared on many TV channels and her articles and statements were published by many local and international newspapers.

In 2011, she was nominated for the international children peace prize by Desmond Tutu. She was not given that prize but it was her honor that she was included in the nominated 3 children from around world who were present there. Though, she was given many national awards and prizes by Pakistani Government and local NGOs. 

9 October 2012 Malala was attacked

9 October was a dark day for all Pakistan and for the entire world. Malala Yousafzai was attacked in Mingora Swat when she was coming back from School at home. She was attacked by two gun men in her school bus. She was fired on the head and the bullet went inside her neck and stuck there. The incident sparked the whole country in minutes and she was first taken to Saido sharif in Swat for urgent treatment, but later on she was shifted to Peshawar and then to Rawalpindi.

She remained unconscious for 10 days, but after 11 days she came out of coma and opened eyes. Now she is in Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the United Kingdom and her doctors says she well get soon.  To let all of you know about this great news that the book about Malala we previously announced on this blog is published just today. The Book which is titled as "I am Malala" is a book covering all the story before 9 October, 2012 attack on Malala and the life story of Malala after that attack. The Book "I am Malala" is written with the help of Cristina Lamp a british journalist. This book is all about Malala's life and her story, so you can get it to read if you are in the UK right now. While, soon it will be available everywhere in the world. 

Here is the title of the Book: 

The story in this book starts with a different scene, the book reveals a girl who likes "Ugly Betty" and the cooking show "Masterchef," worries about her clothes and her hair, but also has an iron determination that comes from experience beyond her 16 years.

Later on in the book, you will read about the story when Malala was coming back from school to home and when suddenly a gunman came to her bus and asked "Who is Malala among you?", at that moment Malala said, I didn't even observe that I'm being killed right at the moment. All whatever she did and faced before the attack and after the attack, that's included in this book. 

So, the story behind the scene is now available in a well shaped format called "book". The history has been written and will be available for all the people living in the world right now and for all those who are just soon coming to the world.
